A celebration of the announcement of the Spirited Awards® Regional Honorees, bringing Tokyo bar, The SG Club, to Singapore for Spirited Awards Presents The SG Club.
Tales of the Cocktail Foundation (TOTCF) and Singapore Tourism Board (STB) are thrilled to host Tokyo’s The SG Club at Singapore’s ATLAS on May 8 to celebrate the Regional Top 10 Announcements for the Spirited Awards®.
The celebration marks the second in a series of events throughout 2023, culminating in a multi-day residency at Tales of the Cocktail® 2023 that will showcase four incredible bars from the Singapore bar community.
This private event will take place at Spirited Award-winning bar, ATLAS, located in Singapore’s grand Parkview Square.
The afternoon will begin with a series of workshops prior to the main event, allowing Singapore trade to experience education and tastings led by award-winning bartender and bar owner Shingo Gokan and The SG Club’s bartenders, Reoma “Oma” Mita and Takuro Juni. The workshops will include hands-on tasting of shochu, Japan’s popular spirit; how to pair shochu with other distillates; how to work with Japanese flavors in cocktails; and how Shingo Gokan went from barback to world-class bar owner, as told by him.
The evening portion of the evening, Spirited Awards Presents The SG Club, will give a nod to the jazz-age era, combining the elegant touches from both The SG Club and ATLAS. Showcasing modern techniques and remarkable talents, The SG Club bartenders will bring their renowned bar program to life, allowing traditional Japanese elements to shine in ATLAS’ impressive, art deco grand lobby.
