There’s nothing quite like a sparkling lemonade to ease summer’s swelter, and just in time for those temps to rise, Fever-Tree has released its new Sparkling Sicilian Lemonade, which joins the brand’s popular Sparkling Pink Grapefruit and Sparkling Lime & Yuzu.
Made by extracting oils from the peels and juice of Sicilian lemons, this lemonade has the ideal balance of sweetness, tartness, and sparkle, and it’s made to be mixed in cocktails—like the Sicilian Iced Tea below—though it’s just as delicious on its own. By substituting natural cane sugar with fruit sugar, this lemonade only has 40 calories per bottle, and like all Fever-Tree Mixers, it’s non-GMO certified, made from high-quality naturally sourced ingredients, and contains no artificial sweeteners or colors.
This is the perfect mixer to help you stretch out summer and transition into fall. It’s available nationwide at bars, restaurants, and hotels, as well as at spirits retailers and online for $4.99 per pack of four bottles. Head to fever-tree.com to find a retailer near you.
Sicilian Iced Tea
14 oz. boiling water
2 English breakfast teabags
5 oz. bourbon
2 oz. peach liqueur
15 mint leaves
17 oz. Fever-Tree Sparkling Sicilian Lemonade
Tools: large pot, spoon
Garnish: mint and lemon
Pour the measured boiling water over the tea bags in a large pot and brew for 1 minute. Remove the tea bags and wait until the tea is cool and then place in the refrigerator to chill. When the tea is cold, fill a pitcher 3/4 full with ice. Pour in the bourbon, peach liqueur, and chilled tea. Add the mint leaves and stir gently. Top with the lemonade. To serve, pour into an ice-filled glass and garnish with mint and lemon.
